Only if you let it. Force seo-update-meta writes to draft so every change waits for approval, or scope the token to read-only audits. Trusted runs can go live under capped rate limits — enforced by the permission_callback on each ability.

Does it work with both Yoast and Rank Math?

Yes — native integrations for both. seo-audit and seo-update-meta read and write the correct meta fields for whichever plugin a site runs, so you don't maintain separate scripts per stack.

Is it just guessing from the page HTML?

No scraping. The SEO tools read structured data directly from the plugin's stored meta — focus keywords, lengths, schema, redirects — and return typed JSON. Write inputs are validated against each schema before save.
