How to: install & use Pro Skills

A full walkthrough of the Pro Skills panel — what skills are, how they differ from abilities, installing with a license, and invoking by prompt.

Abilities are the building blocks; Pro Skills are the power tools. Where an ability does one typed operation, a Pro Skill packages a whole expert workflow — turning a screenshot into builder components, or a transcript into a full course — with validation built in. The Pro Skills panel is where you install, manage and understand them. This guide explains what skills are, how they differ from abilities, and how to use them.

TL;DR

Pro Skills are premium, workflow-level capabilities — EtchWP/Bricks/Elementor/ACSS design-to-builder, and the Tutor LMS course builders. Install from the panel with your license, then invoke them by prompt. Each validates its output before anything is written.

Open the Pro Skills panel

Go to NIBWP › Pro Skills. You will see the available skills, your license status, and an install/activate control for each. Skills are licensed add-ons — part of a Pro plan or the Bundle.

Skills vs abilities

The difference is scope and intelligence:

The available skills

Step 1 — Install and license

With a Pro or Bundle license active, install the skill from the panel. It registers its abilities, which then appear to your agents like any other tool — but backed by the skill’s validation pipeline.

Step 2 — Invoke by prompt

Once installed, you use a skill by describing the outcome. The skill plans, validates and (on your approval) builds:

claude > nibwp
You: Recreate this hero from the screenshot as EtchWP components.\netchwp-pro-image-to-component - validating tokens, BEM...\nComponent drafted - 18 tokens mapped, validated, awaiting approval
Skills validate before they persistThe value of a Pro Skill is not just generation — it is the validation. Output is checked against domain rules (clean BEM, mapped tokens, sound course structure) before anything is written, so you get production-grade results, not first drafts.

FAQ

Do I need a license?
Yes — Pro Skills are part of a Pro plan or the Bundle. The panel shows your status and unlocks installs.
How are skills different from abilities?
Abilities are single operations; skills are validated, workflow-level capabilities that may use several abilities under the hood.
Can I see what a skill will do before it writes?
Yes — skills plan and validate first, and nothing persists until you approve.
